The first time I had one of these was in Italy, last summer. I instantly fell in love and had to try and make them for myself. These are so yummy and SO easy! And friends, the best part is that they are not fattening. So go ahead and indulge, I sure did!
Candied Orange Slices dipped in Dark Chocolate
4 ORANGES SLICED AND HALVED
4 CUPS SUGAR
4 CUPS WATER
7 OZ DARK CHOCOLATE
2 TBS SALTED BUTTER
Combine sugar and water in a pot bring to a boil, add sliced oranges. Reduce heat to a simmer. Let simmer for 2 hours. Place them to dry on a cookie sheet for 24 hours.
Melt chocolate and butter over a double boiler, dip orange slices in chocolate place on a sheet pan with wax paper. Let them cool in the fridge for about 30 mins.
